Supervisors

Key to the effectiveness of bacPoint™ for IB Schools and CAS programmes is effective support for supervisors.  With many students' CAS activities being encouraged to be undertaken external to the school and in the community, support for supervisors, both internal and external, is very important.

External supervisors are supported in having the same visibility of student activities and level of engagement in CAS as internal supervisors, making it easier for them and simplifying the CAS coordinator’s role of effective engagement with external supervisors.

With bacPoint™, supervisors don’t need to manage or maintain multiple paper based records or files to supervise their students as they are able to manage groups of students online from one single access point. This makes the effective participation and engagement of external supervisors for the CAS program much easier.

All important information supervisors need is at their fingertips online, student progress, activity news, effective communication with students and coordinators.

Visibility of student journals and reflections on an activity gives supervisors greater insight into how students are reporting their progress with an activity at any time allowing them to verify student participation and provide further guidance and feedback.

Reports from supervisors can be uploaded or communicated to coordinators to help them to monitor and assist students who are not completing activity requirements according to plan.

Supervisors are able to be provided with forms and effective support in reporting on students activities in compliance with IBO reporting and assessment requirements.

With secure access, anytime, anywhere online, supervisors, both internal and external, can  schedule supervision follow-up and reporting at times convenient to them with all the information they need at their finger tips.
