scioware™ for collaborative teaching and learning portfolios

Concord scioware™ is an interactive personal learning space that integrates Web 2.0 technologies with your school's curriculum to support student-centred learning practices.

Web 2.0 has empowered the general population to collaborate and share their thoughts and achievements on the Internet using personal portfolios, blogs, wikis and similar rich media in a social context.

Concord has harnessed the power of these tools to K12 pedagogy, empowering schools to create an Education 2.0 platform. Teachers, students and parents are able to share thoughts, reflections and achievements in a cybersafe, educational context linked to the school's curriculum, and underpin social learning.

Teachers build and publish interactive learning and assessment plans consisting of tasks and activities for each subject they teach. Students work within their personal plan framework, submitting work samples, reflecting on issues and discussing progress. Student's completed activities and plans are stored in their personal portfolio, building an ongoing record of each student's education over time. Collaborative tools further support students working in groups.

Comprised of five modules: MyStore, MyAssessments, MyPlans, MyPresentations and MyBlogs, scioware™ is a teaching and learning platform that harnesses the curriculum and teaching practices with collaborative work spaces to deliver Education 2.0.
